Lan joined our office in 2009 and has been involved with local residential projects as well as the conceptual design of the Mogas cultural center project in Xiahe, a small village in Western China. As a project coordinator, Lan worked closely with the Mogas design team and with our Chinese clients. In addition to serving on the design team, Lan was the interpreter in our presentation to Shanghai University officials and developers. Lan was born in Shanghai, China. She started formal training in drawing at age 12, which led to her pursuit of studies in fine arts after high school. After graduating from Shanghai University, Lan worked as a store display designer for international companies based in Shanghai. She has traveled to many major cities in China for work related business. She completed her master’s degree in architecture at the University of Texas at San Antonio. After calling San Antonio home for 10 years, she still enjoys her continuing exploration of her new environment and the cultural attractions our State has to offer.
